Surprising fulfillment of expectations

Surrounded by walls
that we cannot see
but know are there

Herded to and fro
led by hierarchy
that just is, but isn't fair

Work night and day
to gain a little
but have the rug pulled out
 from under you
to work harder
to make it back almost to where you were
and celebrate the losses as found fortune

Surprising fulfillment of expectations

You only catch a glimpse
every now and then
catch a clue
meant for you
realize the words you heard
could be a mirror
and you second guess
what to do

When you clearly see
the machine that you cannot unsee

you have a clear vision of how to navigate the course

surprising fulfillment of expectations....

Then we are beaten down
by unknown forces
played from every angle
torn and tattered
and realize, to the machine
 no life mattered

The Machine gets its way

a brief moment of happiness
surrounded by blood, sweat, and tears
a laugh, a smile, temporary relief
from struggling with your peers
Many think there is no end
that we just keep doing this
again and again
but if we don't ?

Surprising fulfillment of expectations

I cannot believe this blog has almost 70K views.

This blog has almost 70 thousand views.  Amazing. Thank you, I guess. This thing serves many functions for me...probably not much for a long term reader.  I always hope there is something interesting to someone in between the malaise. It was never meant to provide consistency or safe haven for anyone...my apologies for the few that thought it would.

I thought my other blog would do much better than this, but only has 9 thousand views.

It probably does not help that I change the names of the blogs. I am not quite ready to pursue any possible commercial gains....and may never chase those again.  So changing anything on a whim is easy for me.

Thank you for the views. I know 70K is not much to some...but seeing as how I know what this was for, and you don't....It is a lot.

Well...threw my knee out getting a carry out pizza ( this statement probably means something deep and profound....)  back to the ice.

I am not proof reading this. Why raise the quality now?

The End...

of the reason I use this.
