2 players in front of you, not playing the same game. Not the only players, just the pieces you see. One guy scores, one guy swings and misses. Who wins? Depends on their scoring rubric. The rubric you are informed of may not matter.
It just feels good to think it does.
Some see the entire field as the play unfolds. Some see what's under their nose.
