All the thoughts we can think have been thought
All the words we know of have been writ and said
All the sounds we can hear have been made
All the sights that can be seen have been seen
Everything has been imagined & dreamed
All the wars have been fought
Everything has been won
Everything has been lost
Someone always claims to know the cost
and maybe they do but they'd never tell me or you
They say pressure turns coal to diamonds
Immense pain has been felt
Living a hard life here makes you shine somewhere else
We don't see much at all
There is more here than meets the eye
We only see what the brain thinks we can handle
That's the why and how of survival
Some see or hear a little more
some a little less
If we could all know what everyone else knows
Maybe we could get out of this mess
but what about the individual?
