Does Absolute power corrupt absolutely? Nonsense.
Power changes you, no more than alcohol changes you, which is no more than holding a gun changes you.
Nothing changes YOU.
If you were violent, corruptible, or just an asshole before you held a gun, power, or an adult beverage, then these things act as a mirror that paints you as you are....without the mask you hide behind.
There is no magic excuse that can help you hide from yourself once that mask falls off. .
