Good evening, Friends, Family and Other.

Since the last State of the BLOG Address, there have been many occurrences.
The blog has been shut down for a few weeks due to the authors lack of focus.  It is amazing what happens tto ones perseverance and will when the hammer really starts coming down.  I didn't get any job I applied for. Bills have been due, and I went back to picking up work in the same field I left. No work to be found in the bowling industry, no work as a writer, nothing in the entertainment industry. At least no work for ME. That is fine, I threw a lot of Hail Mary passes.   Swinging for the fences in the face of adversity. I know that rarely works, but I feel everyone must do it now and then.  What is it they say about the lottery? You can't win if you don't play.

No, I don't play the lottery, but the saying has some merit to it.

Here I was , thinking I am such a lovable and all around good guy that I would just fall into something that magically worked for my families needs.     Looks like I will have to carve that out of  the stone myself.

I am telling you, the secret to life is to be one of the cool kids. If you aren't, you need one of them to like you. Without that, you may truly have to have a real gift for something or you are stuck in the herd.  Between you and me,  I can't stand the cool kids or the herd mentality.  Not a fan of religious zealots, or political parties.  Really not a fan of people who think they know something about something but they don't know crap...but I am fairly sure I am in this group as well.     Sense any conflicts ?

Back to the good stuff.  Amy and I finally got married. After weighing out everything, we took our last sixty dollars and headed down to the courthouse.    It is a good feeling to be with the person who believes in you through thick and thin.  It is tremendously motivating as well.

No one wants to fail there loved ones, do they?

Amy followed up her degree by easily passing her driving test today. She is now a licensed driver for vehicles with hand controls.

The blogs have over seven thousand hits , even with a few weeks off.  I still don't understand how I can have several posts with a few hundred thousand Google +1 's , but my hits on the page did not change.

I drove five miles with  my IPAD on the hood of my car.  It never moved. Thank you , Otterbox Defender.

I got my little box car running again, after months of it setting idle due to a direct hit with the biggest raccon ever. I finally did some 'modifications' to the new fan to make it fit nicely.

The 'All Things Burkenbine' collection is available on Smashwords. We got it approved for the premium catolog somehow.  Everyone should have to edit a book.  It is a great learning experience.

Moving, creating this blog, the stories, videos, and book editing combined with learning the intricacies of the social media sites , while working , getting Amy to her appointments and watching her real accomplishments...  It has been a busy summer, all while we both worked through our own health problems.

Haven't seen my kids or my dad in awhile. I hope all is well.  I haven't bowled in a few months, either.  Have to remedy those situations, as well.

I killed my old Facebook account. I had 3000 people on that thing, most of whom were probably tired of me running a hundred blog posts through their wall.   I opened a new account, which I am trying to make much smaller with closer friends and family.  I am still not sure of the best social media friend/networking balance to have.  I would love for this blog to make a little money, but I doubt that happens at this point.  I do not want to spam people with my blog.  If someone actually likes it, I would prefer they just visit the site.My best hope for this blog is that someone thinks I have a skill that can be of service to their business and they contract or hire me.

Isn't everyone tired of being spammed constantly?

The State of the BLOG is ...It is doing well.  Foundation is built and rock solid.
Rebuilding from the ground up. We are the BLOG and this is a real life startup.

--Thank you for your time,

Mark Burkenbine

Did I break the fragmented sentence record?
